Clear Solar offers a variety of financing options. Ownership and leasing options are also available based upon preference. State and Federal tax rebates are also available. We offer flexible financing options to fit your needs.
Adding a solar system will not cause a reassessment of your property. Reassessments are generated by additional construction that increases the square footage of the structure. If a property assessment is generated, the addition of solar panels are exempt from property taxes (in most states).
Each solar system we sell includes a 20 year warranty that goes above and beyond the industry standard. The system may decrease production by up to 2% it's first year and then drop by up to 0.7% per year after that. Of course, we make sure each system meets the production we promised for 20 years. After that, production will likely stay very high, but is no longer guaranteed.

No, there are a variety of panels. The two most commonly used are Monocrystalline silicon and Polycrystalline silicon panels. What separates the two is the purity of silicon used to manufacture the cells. Clear Solar uses Monocrystalline, all-black, 60 cell panels.

Monocrystalline solar panels have the highest efficiency rate; they are space efficient and they last the longest. The panels are made from the highest grade silicon, which allows an efficiency rate ranging from 15-20%. These solar panels yield the highest power outputs while acquiring the least amount of space. Clear Solar offers a 20-year linear power warranty on Monocrystalline solar panels.

Polycrystalline solar panels' efficiency ranges only from 13-16% and are less space efficient. Due to the lower silicon purity, polycrystalline solar panels have a lower efficiency than monocrystalline solar panels. Polycrystalline solar panels are less space-efficient due to a larger surface that must be covered to output the same electoral power as a monocrystalline solar panel.

Solar panels can attach to any home by roof-mounting or ground-mounting the solar system. Clear Solar has many choices in attachment options to fit your home or property needs.
Probably not - a backup battery can add up to 25% in cost to a residential solar system. Since you will remain secure to your local utilities' grid, you will not have to worry about not generating enough power. Most solar photovoltaic experts do not recommend adding a backup battery system unless there is concern about a long utility outage.
A common misunderstanding about solar panels is that they create "too much" glare, possibly posing a nuisance to neighbors and a safety risk for pilots. While in certain situations the glass surfaces of solar systems can produce a glare (a reflection of bright light), light absorption - rather than reflection - is central to the function of a solar panel (to absorb solar radiation and convert it to electricity). Clear Solar panels are black and are covered with anti-reflective coatings in order to terminate the glare.
The frame and the surface of the panels are black. All the materials used in the installation of the solar systems are black as well.
To optimize the efficiency of the solar panel, it is best to keep dust, leaves, and debris from piling up on them.
